Isla Rose

London-based American songwriter and indie-pop producer Isla Rose released her debut EP "No Answers" in March 2023. Since then, Isla has garnered over 500K streams worldwide, earned spots on multiple Spotify editorial playlists, received support from BBC Introducing, and secured a feature on the popular TV show Love Island. Living in London, she records her music, taking inspiration from an upbringing in the deep south, USA and her transition to life in the UK. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Isla started as a drummer at age 11. Upon moving to Tupelo, Mississippi as a teen, she became exposed to the blues, playing in different bands. Isla arrived to London in 2018, studying music production and sound engineering. This experience inspired her to create her own music and from March 2020 she began writing/co-producing her debut EP "No Answers". Her music and lyrics take a dive into her life and experiences she’s had including themes of self-exploration, coming-of-age, and spirituality. Inspired by electro, indie, and R&B, Isla has composed a modern sound with hints of nostalgia from her southern blues background.
